Sandoval battles Honor tonight in Siaton

HOMETOWN boy Marlou Sandoval (6W-0L-2D, 3 KOs) will stake his unbeaten record today when he fights journeyman Roel “Kokoy” Honor (6W-7L-2D, 3 KOs) of Butuan City in the eight-round main event of a fight card to be held at the Siaton gymnasium in Negros Oriental.

Sandoval has stopped his last three opponents. He will fight using the name Sandoval Singwangcha to honor promoter and sponsor Naris Singwangcha of Thailand.

Honor has lost to name opponents like Johnriel Casimero, Rommel Asenjo, Jether Oliva and Edrin Dapudong.

During yesterday’s weigh-in, Sandoval came in at 103.5lbs while Honor stepped in at 106lbs. The weigh-in was supervised by the Games and Amusements Board of Cebu.

Also in the card are four more professional bouts pitting Sesustener Llanera Singwangcha (128 lbs) of Bais, Neg. Oriental vs. Honey Boy Vidad (130 lbs) of Siquijor in six rounds, Jayson Redondo Singwangcha (125.5 lbs) of Ormoc City vs. Andelou Adajar (126.5 lbs) of Butuan City in six rounds, Renjie Sabanal (110lbs) of Siaton vs. Jonathan Francisco (109lbs) of Davao City in four rounds and Arnel Caoktoy Singwangcha (113.5 lbs) of Ormoc City vs. Lyndel Radoc (111 lbs) of Siaton. /Corresondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
