Intense rains are expected in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Tuesday evening after the state weather agency issued an Orange rainfall warning.
The other areas affected by the rainfall alert issued at 6:45 p.m. are Cavite, Bataan, and Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
This means 45 to 65 millimeter (mm) rainfall are expected in the next three hours.
Meanwhile, yellow rainfall warning is issued over Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Bulacan, and Pampanga, which will also experience heavy rains.
Tropical storm Henry left the Philippine area of responsibility midday Tuesday but rains spawned by the southwest monsoon over Metro Manila, Ilocos region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mindoro provinces and Palawan will still continue, Pagasa said.
A low pressure area is spotted 805 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City. It is likely to intensify into a tropical depression in the next 36 hours. /vvp
