Senate suspends work amid metro floods

The Senate suspended its work on Tuesday due to flooding in various areas in Metro Manila.

Senator Gringo Honasan, officer-in-charge, announced the suspension of work early Tuesday morning.

“As OIC, pinasuspend ko na ang pasok sa Senate dahil marami nang lugar ang baha,” Honasan said in a text message.

The Senate committee on constitutional amendments and revision of codes chaired by Senator Francis Pangilinan was scheduled to resume its hearing on Charter change proposal at 2 p.m.

Honasan said it would be up to the chairman of the committee to decide whether or not to push through with the hearing.   /kga
