MMDA reports flooding in Metro Manila

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has monitored flooding in several areas in the National Capital Region due to heavy rain Tuesday.

As of 8 a.m. of Tuesday, flooding was reported in the following places:

EDSA-Taft Metro Rail Transit station, northbound section, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

Ortigas La Salle gate 6, gutter deep. (passable to all types of vehicles)

EDSA Ortigas POEA, southbound section, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

Quirino Guazon, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw area, southbound section, half tire deep (not passable to light vehicles)

EDSA Aurora tunnel, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

Barangay Tatalon Roxas district, waist deep (not passable to all types of vehicles)

R. Papa, Manila, northbound section, half tire (not passable to light vehicles)

E. Rodriguez delos Santos Medical City, knee deep (not passable to all types of vehicles)

Doña Carmen, westbound section, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

Cubao tunnel Aurora, northbound section, gutter deep (passable to all types of vehicles)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has issued a yellow and orange rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Cavite, Zambales, Batangas and Bataan as heavy rainfall is expected to persist in these areas. /cbb
