PNP chief: Term of Trillanes security detail merely expired

Philippine National Police Director General Oscar Albayalde belied opposition Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV’s allegations that his police security escorts had been unceremoniously pulled out.

In a press briefing at Camp Crame in Quezon City on Monday, Albayalde said the “terms” of the senator’s police escorts had simply expired.

“Remember, that’s not permanent. Once it expires, [the escorts] can’t stay forever with the VIP,” he said.
