Tropical Depression ‘Henry’ makes landfall in Cagayan

Tropical Depression “Henry” had made landfall over Camiguin Island in Cagayan province as it traversed the Babuyan Group of Islands, according to the bulletin issued on 11 p.m. on Monday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

As of 10 p.m., Henry was moving west at 25 kph, blowing maximum sustained winds of 60 kph near the center with a gustiness of up to 75 kph.

Signal No. 1 is still hoisted over the following areas:

  • Batanes
  • northern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands
  • northern portion of Apayao
  • northern portion of Ilocos Norte

Henry is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said it had spotted a low pressure area (LPA) at 930 km east of Infanta, Quezon at 10:00 p.m. /atm
