2 killed, 3 wounded in gun attack in Camarines Sur
NAGA CITY – Two of five men having a drinking session in Calabanga town in Camarines Sur province were killed when two unidentified men opened fire at them Sunday night.
Initial investigation revealed that Prospero Zamudio, 49; Conrado Zamudio, 54; Edwin Arpilleda, 45; Alex Dualan, 60; and a Jun-jun Gomez were attacked at about 11:20 p.m. outside Zamudio’s house in Barangay (village) Sabang.
All five men were reportedly hit.
The gunmen tried to go after the victims, who scampered into the house, but abandoned the chase and fled shortly.
Dualan died on the way to the hospital due to his wounds, police said, adding that Conrado passed away Monday morning.
Article continues after this advertisementRecovered at the crime scene were nine empty shells and six slugs from what police believe to be a caliber .45 pistol.
Police are still determining the motive in the shooting. /cbb
