The activity of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) at the Rizal Park in Manila has been going on smoothly since it stated early this morning, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar said on Sunday.
The event, dubbed as “Worldwide Aid to Fight Poverty,” gathered around 100,000 INC members to participate in various activities, including a feeding program and medical mission, according to Eleazar.
He said no untoward incidents have been reported as as of 3 p.m. The event is expected to last until 10 p.m.
(We are hoping that this activity will be peaceful. We know that the members of the Iglesia ni Cristo are disciplined and helpful,)
(I think there won’t be any problems with today’s activities that will end at 10 p.m.)
Several roads in Manila were declared closed to traffic to give way to the event of the INC. /ee
