Palace: War on graft yielding results

Malacañang pointed to graft cases filed against 17 local officials in Boracay as among those that showed progress in the Duterte administration’s anticorruption campaign.

In a statement, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Sibak, Sibak, Sibak” campaign did not spare even Cabinet officials.

The 8888 hotline, which the President had ordered set up to receive complaints from the people, had an “average resolution rate of 93.2 percent in 2017,” according to Roque. —Julie M. Aurelio
