Duterte reappoints fraternity brod, this time to Comelec

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed one of his fraternity brothers at the San Beda University-based Lex Talionis Fraternitas as a commissioner of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Former Justice Undersecretary Antonio Kho Jr. was named to the poll body to fill the seat left vacant by Comelec chair Sheriff Abas.

Kho, who will serve until Feb. 2, 2022, served as a justice undersecretary under former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, and led the task force that investigated the Priority Development Assistant Fund scam.

Both he and Aguirre are Mr. Duterte’s fraternity brothers.—JULIE M. AURELIO
