Slain Mayor Ferdinand Bote
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified the mastermind in the murder of Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote.
PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Oscar D. Albayalde said Thursday that arrested gunmen—Florencio Suarez and Robert Gumacay—revealed to authorities the name of the person who had ordered Bote’s killing.
He, however, cannot disclose the details yet because of the ongoing investigation.
Suarez and Gumacay were arrested at a checkpoint in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur on Wednesday.
Bote was killed in an ambush in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija last July 3. /kga
