An opposition party believed that the attacks against Vice President Leni Robredo are in support of the supposed plan by former Senator Bongbong Marcos to “subvert the people’s will and revise history.”
In a statement by the Liberal Party (LP) on Wednesday, party vice president for external affairs Erin Tañada said Solicitor General Jose Calida’s “obvious pro-Marcos stance” on the recount of votes in the 2016 vice presidential election is “more disturbing.”

“It appears that the attacks on Vice President Leni are based on Bongbong Marcos’s plan to subvert the people’s will and revise history in their family’s favor,” Tanada said in a statement.
