The camp of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos dared Vice President Leni Robredo to produce the authentic CCTV footage allegedly showing that they sent groceries to the staff of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) days before an outing last June.
Robredo, through her counsel Romulo Macalintal, asked the PET on Wednesday to allow the release of video showing one of Marcos’ revisors, Roderick Miranda, delivering groceries to the 4th-floor office of the tribunal.
“We challenge Mrs. Leni Robredo to go ahead and produce such footage provided it is authentic and not another product of her many lies,” Marcos spokesperson Vic Rodriguez said in a text message.
The Marcos camp last July 9 filed a manifestation of grave concern before the PET asking that it conduct an investigation on the Laguna outing of PET staff with one of Robredo’s revisors.
“We have shown pictures of how she’s corrupted PET HR’s (Head Revisors) and pictures don’t lie. To date, all she has are alibis and more lies. Huling-huli na nagpapalusot pa,” he said.
The outing happened on June 22 to 23 at 3Js Resort at Barangay Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna. With Alyssa Javier/INQUIRER.net intern/cbb
