Isabela shooting leaves butcher hurt

SANTA MARIA, ISABELA—-A butcher was critically wounded after he was shot in front of a cockpit on Tuesday afternoon (July 10), police said on Wednesday (July 11).

Edwin Macapallag, a butcher of Barangay Minanga Norte in San Pablo town was shot at 1 p.m. by Bryan Soriano who arrived aboard a motorcycle with his brother, Benjie.

Police officers in the area responded when they heard the gunshots and engaged the brothers in a brief shootout.

Police said Bryan was hit and has been arrested while his brother escaped. /muf
