Sara Duterte on survey ranking: ‘I am overwhelmed’

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio couldn’t say more about her strong showing in the recent Pulse Asia survey of senatorial hopefuls, which showed her ranking third to fifth in a race for 12 senators.
“I am overwhelmed,” the daughter of President Duterte was quoted as saying by Jeffrey Tupas, spokesperson for the Davao City government.

The Mayor’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago has been recognized by the Commission on Elections as a national political party although the mayor kept saying she preferred to stay in Davao.
The Pulse Asia survey showed 46.2 percent of voters saying they would vote for Mayor Duterte. —Frinston Lim
