A barangay official in Quezon City was forced to hand over his valuables to three still unidentified robbers on Sunday night.
According to the Quezon City police, Benson Bong Paras, an executive officer of Barangay Milagrosa, parked his van on Katipunan Avenue corner Sunriser’s Street to go to a nearby restaurant.
While inside the restaurant around 6:30 p.m., Paras said he noticed a man peeking inside his van. He added that when the man picked up a stone, he rushed outside the restaurant and grabbed the suspect.
However, Paras said that two men on separate motorcycles suddenly arrived at the scene, pointed guns at him and told him to release their companion.
They also instructed him to hand over his cell phone and cash totaling P2,000 before escaping.
