CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan—Seven men were killed while nearly 100 were arrested during a series of police operations in different cities and municipalities of Bulacan last week.
A man identified only as Frederick was killed in Barangay (village) Ulingao at San Rafael town on Saturday (July 7). Frederick attacked an undercover police officer to whom he sold a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth), said Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director.
In the same town on Friday (July 6), the police killed a suspect named “Bino” who fought back during a 1 a.m. drug bust in Viola Highway at Barangay Maronquillo.
Recovered from Bino were a heat-sealed sachet of suspected “shabu” and a Cal. 45 pistol.
Friday proved fatal for a man named Erwin who exchanged fire with policemen in Bocaue town and was killed; for suspect Sonny Boy Gabagat during a5:45 p.m. drug deal in Barangay Malhacan at the City of Meycauayan; and a man named Jessie during a 10:45 p.m. police operation in Pulilan town.
Erick Manicad was shot dead during an 11:20 p.m. police operation at the City of Malolos on Wednesday (July 4) in a firefight in Barangay Santor. Seized from Manicad were 12 sachets of suspected “shabu,” a sachet of marijuana leaves and a Cal. 22 handgun.
Earlier in Meycauayan on Wednesday, Valentino Calip was killed during an encounter with the police in the Ciudad Grande Subdivision at Barangay Lawa.
Calip had allegedly consummated a drug deal inside his house when he realized he was dealing with undercover policemen.
