It’s a go: Duterte, Valles ‘private meeting’ in Malacañang

Talks will be held Monday afternoon, says Palace

The meeting between President Rodrigo Duterte and Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) President Romulo Valles will push through this Monday afternoon, Malacañang said.

“[It’s a] private meeting,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a text message to INQUIRER.net.

The meeting will be in Malacañang, he added.

Reports have surfaced that the meeting between the two leaders would not happen as scheduled due to the ongoing CBCP plenary assembly.
