Man stabs brother with broken bottle in Isabela

BENITO SOLIVEN, ISABELA – A 22-year-old farmer was stabbed with a broken beer bottle by his older brother during a fight on Friday night (July 6) in District 1 village here, police said.

Delmar Gumalut, 22, was confined at the Faustino Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital in Ilagan City for chest and arm wounds inflicted by his 28-year-old brother, Jun-Jun, according to Senior Insp. Joel Bumanglag, Benito Soliven police chief.

The brothers were having drinks with friends when they began arguing over a family matter, which resulted to violence.

The Gumalut family, however, did not pursue any complaints against Jun-jun, police said. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
