Portions of roads around Balintawak Cloverleaf area will be closed due to scheduled drainage enhancement works to address occasional flooding in the area, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation announced Friday.
NLEX advised motorists of the temporary road closure plan at the Balintawak
Cloverleaf area to allow them to plan their trips appropriately.
According to NLEX, starting July 8 to July 19, the Balintawak Cloverleaf southwest ramp going to A. Bonifacio Avenue from EDSA-Monumento will be closed to traffic from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
It also said that from July 20 to August 9, the southwest ramp going to EDSA-Cubao and the rightmost lane headed to A. Bonifacio Avenue will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and that three lanes will be open to vehicles bound to A. Bonifacio.
Starting July 2 to August 10, NLEX said the rightmost lane of southwest ramp going to EDSA-Cubao from West Service Road will be temporarily closed and two lanes will be passable for motorists heading to EDSA-Cubao.
NLEX noted that drainage works, aimed at improving the exisitng flood control project in the area, will be completed by August this year.
“The NLEX Corporation also assures motorists that a traffic management plan is in place with the deployment of patrol and traffic teams around the work area,” it said. /kga
