Gunmen kill construction worker inside jeepney in Davao City

DAVAO CITY— Gunmen on a motorcycle shot and killed a construction worker inside a passenger jeepney along McArthur Highway in Matina Balusong at around 7:35 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.

Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz, Southern Mindanao police spokesperson  said Jomar Poral, who happened to turn 25 on Wednesday, died due to multiple gunshot wounds.

Driz said the assailants drove alongside the jeepney that Poral was riding in before opening fire and speeding off.

Police are still investigating the incident, Driz said.   /vvp
