Around 500 grams of shabu amounting to P3.4 million were seized in a buy bust operation in Quezon City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

According to a PDEA report released on Wednesday, suspects Abdul Socri Socor Daromimbang and Salman Socor Daromimbang were caught last Sunday inside the basement parking of a mall along Congressional Avenue and Jupiter Street in Project 8.

Operatives from the PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES) and PDEA Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) said the illegal substances were contained in five transparent plastic ice bags.

Both suspects will be charged by PDEA for violation of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.   /vvp
