Cebuano Gould may see action in Azkals match against Beckham-led LA Galaxy
A CEBUANO footballer may get a chance to play with football stars David Beckham and Landon Donovan when the Philippine Azkals face LA Galaxy on Dec. 3 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Cebuano-British Chad Alesna Gould will be arriving today to join the practice and hopefully get chosen to be in the final Azkals lineup.
Azkals team manager Dan Palami said that Gould’s agent had contacted him and that he had decided to give him a chance and let him join the practice.
As for Gould’s chances of rejoining the Azkals permanently, Palami said “anything is possible, as long as he’s fit enough and good enough.”
Palami said that training for the match against the LA Galaxy will begin today and that they will be releasing the final lineup next week.
Gould had joined the training pool for the Philippine national football team’s campaign in the World Cup Qualifiers last May 8. He previously left the team January of 2010 and went back to London.

His doctor had advised him then not to play football for two weeks which meant that he had to leave the Azkals training pool on his second week. CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
