LUCENA CITY – A five-year-old boy died while two others were injured in a road accident in Pagbilao town in Quezon province Monday afternoon.
Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said a motorcycle being driven by Bondelbert Losloso overtook a running wing van truck being driven by Ignacio Acebuche while negotiating the highway in Barangay Castillo around 2:50 p.m.
However, the motorcycle accidentally slipped on the ground and hit the right rear tire of the truck, causing the motorcyclists to be thrown off.
The bikers were taken to Jane County Hospital in Pagbilao but the still unidentified boy died along the way.
The motorcycle driver and another rider only known as a certain “Reggie” both sustained injuries and were confined at the said hospital. /ee
