Humildad “Lola Nene” Agbay-Gonzales, mother of former Inquirer Entertainment editor Emmie G. Velarde, died peacefully after a brief ailment on Friday, June 29. She was 87.
Lola Nene is survived by her children Emelinda, Edwin and Eliza; sisters Leonora and Erlinda; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She resided for 60 years in Amparo Village, Novaliches, Caloocan City, where she cultivated life-long friendships.
Wake is at the Truth chapel of Loyola Commonwealth until July 5.
Loyola Commonwealth is along Don Mariano Marcos Ave. cor. Damayan St, Commonwealth, Quezon City, near Iglesia ni Cristo Central.
