Senate President Vicente Sotto III visited Sen. Leila De Lima at her detention cell in Camp Crame on Thursday to check on her welfare and to discuss legislative matters.
Sotto came bearing his wife Helen Gamboa’s special tinapa rice and pastries.
“We discussed the bills that she is pushing and how she could participate in the hearings,” Sotto said.
In a statement, De Lima said she was grateful to Sotto for the visit and for showing concern for her bills and resolutions.
