2 nabbed, P400K ‘shabu’ seized in Batangas buy-busts

SAN PEDRO CITY – Batangas police recovered suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth over P400,000 in two anti-drug operations on Tuesday evening.

The operations were undertaken about an hour apart in Tuy town and in Batangas City, a report from the Batangas police office said Wednesday.

Hasanor Mohammad, 22, a resident of Dasmariñas City, Cavite, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10:30 p.m. in Barangay Luntal, Tuy.

As this happened, operatives also arrested Bin Fahd Jundam in Barangay Balagtas, Batangas City.

Jundam is a delivery truck driver and a native of Zamboanga City, the police said.

Authorities recovered about 30 grams of shabu placed in two plastic bags from each of the suspects. The recovered drugs have a combined estimated value of P408,000.

Senior Supt. Edwin Quilates, Batangas police director, said in a text message that the illegal operation of the suspects, both Filipinos, were not related. Investigation was ongoing, he said.
