Puerto Princesa village chief nabbed for possession of gun, illegal drugs
CITY OF CALAPAN – A village chief was arrested by police and drug agents for possession of illegal drugs and a firearm in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Police and drug operatives, armed with a search warrant, swooped on the house of Angelito Flores Arriesgado, 50, at around 2 p.m. in Barangay Pagkakaisa, where he is village chief, said Supt. Imelda Tolentino, information officer of the Mimaropa police.
They arrested Arriesgado and seized from a .38-caliber revolver, four rounds of ammunition, and a plastic sachet containing suspected crystal meth or “shabu.”
