STO. DOMINGO, NUEVA ECIJA — Another businessman engaged in construction was killed here on Sunday (June 24) in Barangay (village) Cabugao, less than 24 hours after a contractor was gunned down in Cabanatuan City, according to a belated police report.
Manuel Farin, 64, an engineer, was having drinks with his brother, Alfredo, and brothers-in-law, Andres Salazar and Leandro Salvador, at 4:30 p.m. when a man approached them and fired at Manuel.
The suspect fled in a pink motorcycle, reports said.
Manuel was declared dead on arrival at the Sto. Domingo District Hospital.
Investigators recovered two empty shells of cal. 9mm from the crime scene.
Earlier on Saturday (June 23), property developer and contractor Manuel Lacsamana was killed in Cabanatuan. Lacsamana heads a group of quarry operators in Nueva Ecija. ARMAND GALANAG
