3 children, uncle die in La Union fire

Three children and their uncle were killed in a fire that razed a two-story house in Agoo town, La Union province, on Sunday. The bodies of Charles Matthew Higuera, 3, his sister Charmaine, 9, and brother Charlie, 10, and their uncle George Asprec, 74, were recovered past 7 a.m. from their house in Barangay San Julian East in Agoo, said SFO4 Ernesto Fabro, the town fire station chief. The charred body of Charles was found in the master bedroom on the second floor while the others were found in the toilet where they were trapped. —GABRIEL CARDINOZA
