Grab user Katrina Andrea Jaena Tolentino was on her way home when she experienced a heart attack in a car from the transportation booking service.
Tolentino wrote in a now viral Facebook post that she believed that it would be her “final destination” if not for the “Superman with her, who saved her life.”
After experiencing a rapid palpitation of the heart, difficulty breathing, and the loss of feeling in her limbs, she quickly informed the Grab driver that she may be experiencing a heart attack.
“Kuya, huwag kang magpapanic, pero ako na bahala sa sarili ko. Mukhang inaatake ako sa puso. Kaya kong umabot sa ospital basta ang gawin mo lang is bilisan at gawin ang lahat para makalusot tayo sa daan,” she narrated.
(Don’t panic, but I’ll take care of myself. I may be experiencing a heart attack. I can make it to the hospital as long as you hurry and do all you can to get us through.)
Arnel Oyardo Lunar, the driver of the vehicle Tolentino booked, lowered his window and shouted at cars to move. They reached the hospital within five minutes, according to Tolentino’s post.
Tolentino’s sister said that Lunar even waited for around an hour outside the hospital and canceled two bookings in order to stay.
Tolentino has not been able to contact Lunar, but she said she wants to thank him personally. — Daphnie Beltran/Intern (INQUIRER.net)
