CABANATUAN CITY — A 51-year-old businessman with ties to a media organization was shot dead before Saturday midnight by unidentified motorcycle-riding men along Mabini St. in Barangay (village) Quezon District here.
Manuel Lacsamana, a subdivision developer, contractor and quarry operator, was driving a pick-up truck with license plate number NI 0836 when he was attacked at 11:40 p.m.
He was declared dead on arrival at the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center. Lacsamana was on his way home from a meeting with fellow quarry operators in Barangay Sta. Arcadia.
He served as chairman of the board of the Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA). Melicia Ciriaco, CLMA president said Lacsamana was an associate member of the organization, sponsoring various activities.
Investigators have yet to establish the reason for the attack and the identity of the suspects. /ee
