A former actress and her partner were arrested by joint elements of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit for possession of illegal drugs in San Fernando, Pampanga.
According to a report from the Police Region-III Office (PRO-3), eight sachets and five improvised tooters with residue of alleged shabu, weighing scale, a bundle of empty plastic sachets, and two plastic bottles of soft drinks containing a supposed illegal liquid substance were recovered on Thursday from the suspects, identified as Michelle Comstock and Mariano Camacam, also known as Bong Guevarra. They were collared at a resettlement site along the abandoned tracks of the Philippine National Railway.
Comstock, who used the screen name Brigitte de Joya, was a star in movies produced by Seiko Films between 1999 and 2000 – particularly, in mature films such as “Kangkong” and “Gigil”, which were shown in the early 2000’s. She left show business to marry an actor only to resurface in 2013, claiming to be a domestic abuse victim.
The police report said the suspects, both residents of Northville Calulut Resettlement, were arrested through the power of a warrant issued by San Fernando City Regional Trial Court Branch 46.
PRO-3 said that charges for violation of sections of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Camacam and Comstock. /vvp/kga
