Fellow detainees to face charges for death of ‘Tisoy’ – QCPD

Murder charges will be filed against two suspects in the killing of Genesis “Tisoy” Argoncillo, police said on Friday.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. identified the suspects as Richard Bautista and Justin Mercado.

Argoncillo was a detainee, who died while in police custody at QCPD Station 4 last June 19. He was among those arrested during the police’s anti-tambay campaign last June 15.

The suspects, who were fellow detainees of Argoncillo, were alleged members of Sputnik Gang. They were identified by three witnesses at the same police station for allegedly beating the victim to death.

The witnesses were placed under the custody of QCPD’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), Esquivel said.  /kga
