MANILA, Philippines—The multimillion damage suit against former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in connection with her liability for the Maguindanao massacre has been raffled off to a Quezon City court.
Records showed that the case has been raffled to the sala of Judge Catherine Manodon of the Regional Trial Court’s Branch 104.
A court clerk said on Friday that the first hearing has been set for December 9 to tackle the 15 plaintiffs’ appeal to be allowed to litigate as indigents, which would exempt from having to deposit heavy filing fees.
