MANILA, Philippines – Bayan Muna Representative Teodoro Casiño accused former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of deceiving the public and the court about her true condition after her sudden decision to drop a petition for hospital arrest in favor of house arrest.

“She’s as healthy as a horse and should be immediately put behind bars in a regular jail,” said Casiño in a text message.

Casiño said that Arroyo’s her revised petition for a house arrest was “unjust” because it would be shown as special treatment.

“The court should remove her from St. Luke’s and bring her to jail first and from her cell she can argue her petition for house arrest,” said Casiño.
