A University of Pangasinan graduate grabbed the top spot in the June 2018 Licensure Exam for Nursing, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.
With a percentage score of 87.60 percent, Mark Tristan Robosa from the University of Pangasinan led the more than 4,300 board passers.
Out of the 9,873 who took the June exam, only 4,326 passed, the PRC said.
The PRC meanwhile recorded 50 passers who landed in the Top 10.
Placing in second place with a percentage score of 87.20 were Andrew Rey Lao Del Fierro and Philip Gabriel Gillegao from Xavier University, Deanna Corinne Enano Serrano from Bicol University-Legazpi, and Shrwynne Paola Lasam Trinidad from Saint Paul University – Tuguegarao.
Frances Isanela Cortez Seno, a graduae from Velez College in Cebu, had a solo spot for third rank with a score of 87.00 percent.
West Visayas State University-La Paz, meanwhile, was declared as the top performing nursing school with all of its 170 exam takers having passed.
Velez College and Xavier Univesity also posted a 100 percent passing rate with a number of examiners of 70 and 59, respectively.
The Nurse Licensure Examination was administered by the PRC Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The results were released nine working days after the last day of the examination. /muf
