Scattered rain in Luzon on Wednesday

Two weather systems will bring rain over parts of the country on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.

Eastern Visayas and the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The LPA was last spotted 100 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte.

The southwest monsoon west of Luzon will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers. /cbb
