MANILA, Philippines – A 31-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 2 Friday morning.

Cherlyn Rojo was waiting for her flight to 0zamiz province around 9:25 a.m. when she felt back pains, the Manila International Airport Authority said.

The pain continued with Rojo not realizing that she was already giving birth, an MIAA report said. Airport authorities said it was Rojo’s cousin who noticed that the head of her baby was already protruding.

Mother and son were rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital.
