NFA rice ready for sale this week in C. Luzon, Cagayan

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The National Food Authority (NFA) on Monday (June 18) started unloading 220,000 bags of Vietnam rice that arrived at the Subic Bay Freeport on June 5. The shipment was earmarked for Central Luzon and Cagayan Valley provinces.

At least 12,000 bags (each containing 50 kgs of the staple grain) have so far been unloaded from a ship docked at the freeport.

Rains delayed the unloading and delivery of the stocks to warehouses in the two regions, Estoperez said.
