SAN PEDRO CITY – A man was found dead with a placard naming him an illegal drug pusher in Trece Martires City in Cavite province early on Monday.
City police chief Supt. Reynan Patam said in a phone interview that the victim, Ronnel Rosaldo, was identified based on an ID card recovered from the body.
Patam’s initial report said residents found the body left on the side of the road in Barangay (village) Cabuco around 6:30 a.m.
Police found a wound on the victim’s head but had yet to confirm if this caused his death, as forensic examinations continued.
Patam said a cardboard with the message “wag tularan, pusher ako” (don’t emulate, I’m a pusher) covered the victim’s half-naked body.
“He’s not in the police’s drug watchlist,” Patam said, although further verification continued.
