LUCENA CITY – A van passenger died and four others were injured after their vehicle collided head-on with a passenger bus in Tiaong town in Quezon province early Monday.
A police spot report said a Toyota Hi Ace van being driven by Gerry Dael was negotiating the curved portion of the bypass road in Barangay (village) Lumingon around 3 a.m., when it accidentally bumped into a DLTBco passenger bus being driven by Roberto Santua, running from the opposite direction.
One of the van passengers, Albert Pangilinan, died in the accident, the report said.
The van driver and three other still unidentified passengers suffered injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
