BAGUIO CITY – Three passengers, among them two young children, were hurt when a boulder rolled down from the mountain and hit a sports utility vehicle cruising along Kennon Road at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, police said.
Ginaly Cadap and her children, two-year-old Zech and four-year-old Xiehl, sustained minor injuries and were brought to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
The children’s father, PO2 Jefferson Cadap, who was driving the vehicle, was unhurt.
The city has experienced intermittent rains but some parts have sunny weather by midday.
At press time, Kennon Road remains closed to traffic while workers wait for a payloader to remove the boulder from the road, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways. /ee
