Duterte receives copy of proposed Bangsamoro State Constitution
DAVAO CITY – President Rodrigo Duterte received on Saturday a copy of the proposed Bangsamoro State Constitution, which was drafted by Moro scholars, including former Maguindanao Rep. Michael Mastura.
Mastura, also a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) peace panel, personally handed the copy of the proposed Bangsamoro Constitution to the President.
The All-Moro Convention must write a state constitution for the Bangsamoro,” Mastura said.
The draft Bangsamoro Constitution was prepared about a year ago.
In an earlier speech, Mastura said the Bangsamoro State Constitution would provide for a structure that would be parliamentary in form and would fit a federal constitution under a presidential system of government
