Man caught urinating in public arrested for drugs

A man who was initially accosted by Marikina policemen for relieving himself in public ended up being charged with a graver offense after two sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) fell out of his pocket.

A report to Senior Supt. Roger Quesada, city police chief, identified the suspect as Jabar Juano, a 25-year-old resident of Barangay Tañong.

It said that around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, members of the Marikina police’s Tactical Motorcycle Riders Unit were patrolling Liamson Street in Barangay San Roque when they saw Juano urinating in public.

As Juano was getting his ID card out of his right pocket, two sachets of what was believed to be shabu fell out, the police report added.

Aside from violation of a city ordinance against urinating in public, Juano was also charged with drug possession in the Marikina City Prosecutor’s Office.
