A pregnant surgeon in central China is being lauded after doing four surgeries in a row, without breaks.

Despite being five months in the family way, 42-year-old Yi Xianyou performed the surgeries back to back between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m at a hospital in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, reports Kankan News via The South China Morning Post on Thursday.

The report cited a video of her collapsing on the floor after going through the surgeries. It also reported that Yi sat down and breathed in oxygen.

“She performs surgeries extremely well and usually does three to four a day, sometimes five, with an average of 80 to 100 a month,” the head nurse of the hospital, Lin Wei, said of the doctor.

“She had a slight lack of oxygen, slightly low blood sugar and was feeling uncomfortable,” managing nurse Xiong Chunbo was quoted in the report. “She couldn’t stand after the surgery, so we took her to sit down and breathe in some oxygen.”
