PAGADIAN CITY – Two farmers were killed while another one was injured by a lighting strike in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, police reported on Friday.

Police Officer 1 Ahmed Bryan Barrientos, who investigated the incident, said Ranilo Navarro Sr., 49; Michael Castillo, 27; and Eric dela Cruz, 22, who were working on their rice farms in Barangay Bulawan, decided to seek shelter at a hut around 6:30 p.m. Thursday due to heavy downpour.
