DPWH: Brace for heavy traffic in San Pedro, Laguna with repair of bridge

Motorists in San Pedro, Laguna should brace for traffic due to an ongoing bridge repair, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) advised on Friday.

In an advisory, the DPWH said half of San Pedro Bridge will be occupied by heavy equipment from the repair contractor for at least 30 days starting Friday, 8 a.m.

“This move will enable them to hasten the completion of the project,” the DPWH said.

The DPWH has advised all private vehicles coming from Manila bound for Biñan, Laguna, to take the Mabini Bridge as their alternate route instead.

As for the public vehicles, expect a stop-and-go traffic while traversing the open side of the San Pedro Bridge.

The DPWH asked the public for understanding and patience to the public during the said bridge repair.  /muf
