Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo faced the House of Representatives quad-committee for the first time due to her alleged ties to a raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator in her town.

Guo appeared before the House quad-committee on Thursday, Sept. 19, as the panel resumed its investigation into the proliferation of criminal activities and unlawful acts linked to Pogos.

NBI says Alice Guo’s signature didn’t match in counter-affidavit

The specimen signature of ex-Bamban mayor Alice Guo (real name: Guo Hua Ping) did not match the signature in the counter-affidavit notarized by Atty. Elmer Galicia, according to National Bureau of Investigation Director Jaime Santiago.

“Not written by one and the same person,” he said in a Viber message sent to INQUIRER.net when asked if Guo’s signature matched the one on the counter-affidavit.

Senators on signature mismatch: ‘Guo’s identity is built on lies’

Senators were no longer surprised upon discovering the signature mismatch on Alice Guo’s counter-affidavit, noting that the dismissed Bamban mayor is a “professional scam artist.”

One of these two senators who aired their sentiments on the issue was Sen. Risa Hontiveros, head of the chamber’s panel on women investigating Guo’s Philippine offshore gaming operator ties.

PNP: Some of Quiboloy’s ‘Angels of Death’ have licensed firearms

The Philippine National Police said on Wednesday it was checking the gun ownership records of suspected members of the “Angels of Death,” the supposed private army of detained Kingdom Of Jesus Christ (KJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy.

According to PNP Civil Security spokesperson Lt. Col. Eudisan Gultiano, the Davao City Police has requested the PNP Firearms and Explosive Office (FEO) to investigate the said individuals.
