(In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, we are not monitoring sustained cloud clusters so we don’t expect afternoon rains, we can expect  generally fair weather.)

The southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” however, will bring overcast skies in parts of northern Luzon, according to Torres.

“Dahil sa patuloy na epekto ng southwest monsoon, possible pa din ang kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, sa may Ilocos Region, Zambales at Bataan area,” Torres said.

(Because of the continuous effect of the southwest monsoon, scattered rains are still possible in the Ilocos region, Zambales and Bataan.)

Meanwhile, Torres said the low-pressure area (LPA) Pagasa was monitoring is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility.

The LPA exited PAR Monday midnight and was last spotted some 680 kilometers northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.

Pagasa did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
